Google Sites - New Template (DashKit) & Tips

Hi All! I have a mid-June newsletter here to unveil a new template, provide a hot tip and share a take-away about digital marketing. By the way, this newsletter's sponsor is a big inspiration for me. I've chatted with Ben many times. He's super knowledgeable (not just about Sheets) and incredibly kind. Check it out below.

DashKit: New Template Available

Style your kit for Google Workspace using Google Sites. Share guidelines, branding kits and documentation with teams, groups and external users. Keep everyone on the same page with published guides using Google Sites.

  • 4 custom themes (white, black, yellow, orange)
  • Home and FAQ pages

Tip! Embed Google Drive Folders

  • First, hop into edit mode on your Google Site.
  • Use the Insert menu to select Google Drive.
  • Normally you might select a doc or a sheet from here. BUT, try selecting an entire folder and choosing to insert from there.
  • Folders give a preview of all the files and subfolders inside, in either grid or list view.
  • Take note of your sharing permissions though as those are still reflected via your embed.

Digital Marketing 101 - Newsletters

It should come as no surprise that having a dedicated audience (subscribers) is powerful for any kind of venture. Make sure your business is capturing interest. It's something I regret sleeping on for so long. All services have really easy code snippets to install sign up forms and those work on Google Sites.

I have tried all sorts of newsletter services: Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Brevo and Kit. You may have noticed I've landed on Kit and it's working out great. Compare pricing plans and find out what works best for you.
